A: No, we are an independent charity, and partner with the council on their Recycling Centre.

Q: When are you open?

A: We are open Mon-Sat 1000-1530 and Sun 1000-1430. Please note our opening hours differ slightly from the Council’s opening hours.

Q: Do we need to make an appointment to visit or drop off donations?

A: No appointment necessary

Q: What can we drop off?

A: We are very grateful for most reusable items. Unfortunately however, we cannot take large white goods such as fridges & washing machines, duvets and pillows or mattresses/divan beds just now. We also no longer accept large wall units.

Q: Do you pick up rubbish or can you do a dump run for me?

A: Sorry no we’re not licenced for that. Please contact Moray Council to organise a Bulky Uplift or find a man with a van.

Q: Can you collect my old upholstered furniture?

A: We can collect if its reusable and if it still has its CE Fire Safety label attached. We cannot reuse or collect your item without it.

A: Sorry no public toilets on site.

Q: Where does the money you make go?

A: As a registered charity and social enterprise, we are a non-profit. There is no owner of the business and as a community company our Articles of Association require that all money made goes back into running the enterprise and supporting our social aims. Please see our About Us page for more info.

Q: Do you have disabled access?

A: Yes, we have two blue badge spaces on the main Council site. Please ask staff if you need help. Please be aware there are some steps and uneven surfaces within the site that may be unsuitable for wheelchair users or people with mobility problems.

Q: Are you closed for lunch?

A: No, we remain open, however Moray Council do close the site gates from 1150-1230 for lunch and sitework. During that time we are still accessible via car park steps but you cannot access the main site.

A: Yes we do, please see House Clearance page for more info.

A: You can contact us several ways. Our van is always busy so be aware you may have to wait a week or so before we can do the job.

Q: Can I buy a bike you have in the back?

A: No, I’m afraid all bikes we sell must be checked, tested and fixed before sale. The bikes out in the racks beside the bookshop are ready for sale.

Q: Can you repair items?

A: We don’t repair, but this may be a project in the future.
