2.2. Information we collect

We may collect identity and contact information; account details; order, delivery and collection information; communications; product enquiries; technical and usage data; cookie identifiers; marketing preferences; and information necessary to deal with refunds, complaints, fraud or legal claims.

Payment-card details are processed by Dojo, our payment provider. We do not store full payment-card numbers or security codes.

3.3. Why we use it and lawful bases

We use data to process and deliver orders, arrange collections, provide customer support and issue refunds; operate, secure and improve our website and prevent fraud; meet tax, accounting, charity-law and regulatory duties; and send marketing where you have given consent.

4.4. Who receives information

We may share data with e-commerce/website hosts, payment providers, banks, delivery and collection providers, IT and communications suppliers, professional advisers, insurers, regulators and public authorities where required. We require processors to protect data and use it only on our instructions.

5.5. Retention

We keep order, payment and accounting records for at least six years as required by law. We keep customer-service and complaint records for six years after case closure, unless safeguarding, insurance, legal proceedings or another statutory duty requires longer. Marketing preferences are kept until you unsubscribe, or we review and remove inactive records. Technical/cookie data is retained as stated in our Cookie Policy.

We delete or anonymise information when it is no longer needed, unless a longer period is required by law.

Subject to legal conditions and exemptions, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection; and may withdraw consent at any time where consent is the basis for processing. You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. See ico.org.uk or contact the ICO using the details current at the time of your complaint. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any concerns.

If we send electronic marketing, it will only be where permitted by law. If we use electronic marketing, you can unsubscribe or change your preferences at any time using the link in the email or by contacting info@moraywastebusters.org. Opting out of marketing will not stop necessary service messages about orders.
